BEETHOVEN’S FIFTH &
THE MUSIC OF STAR WARS

November 15, 2025 | 8:00 PM
ROBINSON FINE ARTS CENTER

This concert dedicated to the memory of Wanda June Parker.

The music of Beethoven has had an enduring influence on contemporary film music composers, and John Williams is no exception. And much like Beethoven, Williams’ use of themes associated with specific characters or ideas—think Imperial March, Luke’s Theme—enhance an audience’s connection to the story. They both employ rich orchestrations, evoking powerful and memorable experiences in the lives they touch.

Join us for an unforgettable evening with Beethoven’s Fifth & The Music of Star Wars. The concert opens with Beethoven’s iconic Symphony No. 5 in C Minor, a powerful and dramatic masterpiece that has captivated audiences for centuries. The second half takes you on an epic journey through the Star Wars universe with selections from John Williams’ legendary scores, including music from The Phantom Menace, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and The Force Awakens. Experience the timeless brilliance of Beethoven alongside the thrilling sounds of one of the most beloved film franchises in history!
