Sandip J. Gupta Music Education Fund

Sandip J. Gupta (1986-2025) attended Mendenhall Elementary and Bowman Middle School, where he participated in the choral programs and played the piano. Music continued to be an integral part of Sandip’s adult life, and he wished to play again in the future – or perhaps teach his children how to play one day. However, Sandip passed suddenly at age thirty-eight and was never able to fulfill his wish.

Now, a part of Sandip’s legacy takes the form of a music education fund with the Plano Symphony Orchestra. This fund subsidizes year-long private music lessons for four students every year, as part of the PSO Scholarship Program. Additionally, the fund subsidizes the tuition of four budding musicians in the PSO Summer Program each year. Sandip may never be able to play again… but his music lives on through the students of the Plano Symphony Orchestra. Thank you, Sandip.
