PLANO, TX: The Plano Symphony Orchestra (PSO) is pleased to announce the appointment of Margaret M. Finley as its new Director of Development. Finley brings more than two decades of experience in fundraising, donor relations, and nonprofit leadership.
“I’m pleased that Margaret Finley will be joining the senior management team at the Plano Symphony Orchestra,” said PSO President & CEO Gregory Patterson. “Margaret brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in development which will help us continue to build upon the expansion of our fundraising and community engagement efforts. Over the past four years, the PSO has realized unprecedented, positive, strategic growth in the areas of contributed income. Margaret’s years of experience will have a positive effect on our future growth ambitions.”
Finley served as Director of Development at Mount St. Michael Catholic School, where she oversaw donor stewardship, fundraising events, grant management, and database operations. Prior to that, she held leadership roles including Vice President of Development for The Ireland Funds Texas and Director of Development for Catholic Pro-Life Community, where she managed a $1.6 million department budget and led comprehensive fundraising campaigns, donor engagement strategies, and grant initiatives. Her career also includes early experience with prestigious arts organizations such as New York City Ballet, as well as internships with Carnegie Hall and the Big Apple Circus, reflecting a longstanding connection to the performing arts.
Finley holds a Master of Arts in Performing Arts Administration from New York University and a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from Southern Methodist University.
