The HEALING NOTES programs are designed to reach populations unable to attend concerts in a traditional setting. These programs are free to the facilities.

HEALING NOTES FOR SENIORS

Music therapy influenced concerts in partnership with Sound Starts Music

Interactive performances with PSO chamber ensembles
Residents participate through singing, movement, and playing handheld percussion instruments
24 concerts in 2021
54 senior living facilities have participated in the program

HEALING NOTES FOR INCARCERATED YOUTH

In cooperation with the Collin County Juvenile Detention Center, weekly drum circles and concerts by PSO chamber groups are provided to teens aged 12–17.

These sessions encourage relaxation, cooperation, and leadership skills and are a much needed outlet for the residents.

PSO chamber ensembles perform at the Collin County Juvenile Detention Center and senior care facilities.

The Plano Symphony Orchestra is a member of the League of American Orchestras, the Texas Orchestra Managers Association, the Texas Association of Symphony Orchestras, the Plano Chamber of Commerce, the McKinney Chamber of Commerce, the Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Plano Rotary Club and Frisco Chamber of Commerce.
