The program continues with music held especially close to his heart: the vibrant suite from The Three-Cornered Hat by Spanish composer Manuel de Falla, a work learned years ago under the guidance of the late Eduardo Mata, former Music Director of the Dallas Symphony. The celebration concludes with one of the most beloved works in Mexican symphonic music, J.P. Moncayo’s exhilarating Huapango.
