The final performance of the 2012 – 2013 Season celebrates the 40th Anniversary of the Plano Civic Chorus, Ralph Stannard, director, a constant collaborator with the Plano Symphony. The Chorus joins Maestro Guzman in a wide range of works for large orchestra and chorus, including music from the film "Avatar" and a favorite by John Williams, "Close Encounters." The performance and the season conclude with a Plano Symphony debut, Saint-Saëns Symphony No. 3 for Organ & Orchestra, with Bradley Reznicek playing the magnificent pipe organ at St. Andrew United Methodist Church – a grand and festive finale.
